Abstract
The purpose of this work is to study the effect of collective creation dramatherapy on the job stress and the job satisfaction of the teachers working for handicapped children. For that, we have performed 10 sessions of collective creation dramatherapy: eight story creation and drama repetition sessions, one rehearsal session, and one representation session for 10 childcare teachers of integrated handicapped children¡¯s home. During the first sessions, these subjects talk about the difficulties and problems in the integrated classes and write the stories. Based on these stories and episodes, the main dramatherapist rewrites the play script. After each session, the discussion about the session programs was recorded. To evaluate the research question, the questionnaires consisted of 38 questions on job stress are used. The subjects respond to the questionnaire before and after this collective creation dramatherapy. The result data of the questionnaire and the three sub factors(job stress causes, job stress symptoms, and job stress result) were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. As the results, the scores of the job stress causes and the job stress symptoms are reduced after the collective creation dramatherapy and this difference were statistically significant. However, the job stress result factors were not significantly different before and after the dramatherapy. Expanding and diversifying the research subjects, this program might be considered as a base for collective creation dramatherapy models.
